I dunno... when I was your age....
I'll cross the 1000d off then. Any other recommendations for a starter slr? Don't want to spend a lot because I'll no doubts get bored or it will barely get used.
This any good?

450D is still a good cam IMO. Especially on a 'tight' budget. I had one a few years ago.
It's not up to spec with today's current range but buy a decent fast 30mm lens for example (don't buy the 50 too tight on a crop!) .. you're laughing.
Good luck. Either sell up fast or prepare to spend thousands over the next few years
I'm rocking a Canon G12 now......whoop yeah!
Kit lens will do you. Make sure it comes with a 18-55 IS (image stabilisation)
I've been recommended by my old biking photographer to get this, whats your opinion on this?

Bought a CPL from Global CPL Factory LTD
Two day delivery, well packaged, great condition, good price.
Thanks Niall!
Link?
I've bought a Hoya Pro1 58 mm CPL, should get it tomorrow. Hopefully it will work better than my cheap Chinese CPL
It's 58mm you'll want isn't it?
Yeah, if possible?
Sorry Niall.... I'll stop now.
Did genuinely get a CPL though. £25 for a HOYA 72mm from eBay.
