Photoshop CS3 Beta?

Has anyone tried this yet, as we've got Photoshop CS2 installed on the Mac here.

Just a general query (as I don't use it myself) whether CS3 is much of an imrpovement?

Also, any news on a more accurate ETA for it's release? I've only heard that 'Spring' is the launch date for it.

I'm sticking gun-ho to CS2 for time been.

I used cs3 a few weeks ago - only thing that impressed me was the fixed canvas so you didn't have to move your toolbars constantly

Not downloaded this yet but I'll give it a try soon. Should be a huge improvement on my iMac as it will be the first Universal version available, hopefully Illustrator CS3 will follow soon.

I've just received an email to say that Creative Suite 3 will be officially announced on March 27th

Hope CS3 is more stable than CS2.

Indesign is great and all but handling PDFs it is a little poor. Strange considering adobe invented the PDF format

Constant crashes, corrupt files etc

^ i agree. even with 2GB ram - 5.6ghz processor and 512mb gfx card its still not the quickest is CS2

i use photoshop every day, and iv never had it crash or corrupt any files. touch wood

iv looked at the screens of CS3 but i wasnt sure if to try it or not!

Photoshop is fine - just indesign and occasionally illustrator.

yeah im surprised at adobe ability to handle pdf's to, i was thinking this the other day. i use distiller..

We are down to get the full CS3 suite at work vas part of the update protection we got with CS2. Looking foward to seeing what all of the applications have on offer.
