Pics - Exhuast bracket help

Ok i might be going insane but i cannot loosen this exhuast bracket.

I've always worked by the rule righty tighty lefty loosey but am i right in thinking it on the standard bracket?

taken this pic off tinternet... anticlockwise to loosen....

Why dont you just try it the other way the worst that can happen is the nut moves a little further up the thread.

Could try soaking them with wd40 for a while before trying again ?
