Mk2 Fiesta XR2. Bought for £50 scrap when I was 16 for parts to go on a 1.1. Decided i wanted to keep the XR2. Did loads of work to it with my mate both cosmetic and mechanical. Loads of new panels, removed bodykit, full engine rebuild etc etc. All my apprenticeship money went into it. Still have it 20 years on!! Currently has mot and classic insurance. Only picture I have after getting out of my mates barn a couple of years ago covered in dust. Will find some better pics of it.
Went through many max power type stages, but the photos are buried away somewhere, had it near on 3 years.
My friend bought a Nova GTE but broke it for parts due to rust. I chucked the engine and ancillaries etc in this, didn't go to plan and had half the power it did in the Nova and never started since that until one day *knock knock bottom end joke*

The first one I owned was this mint Orion 1.6i ghia. Awesome car until a went to work one morning, span on a patch of black ice and carried an Orion to escort conversion out on a lamppost.
The drivers seat hadn’t been reclined, it pulled the floor up and snapped down the centre. I then went to get out the car but none of the doors would open as the shell had twisted! I kicked open the rear door and ran away as the smell of fuel was intoxicating.
So if you’re a ford fan you might notice the car was on a J plate making the car special as they only made them up to a H reg. Would probably be worth a bit now.
Lesson learnt, if it had hit side on or head on I probably would be bearing some scars.......

1.2 8v mk1 complete with speedline vegas’, rage back box, interior plastics sprayed blue (how mid 2000s) and a heater that only worked on fan speed 1! Only had it about a month due to insurance issues (why did I decide to declare everything 😅) but it was a great 4 weeks.
I had a brown mini clubman 1098cc. I spun it and stoved the boot door and floor in. Had it repaired and painted black, spax suspension and a noisy exhaust. It taught me handling is more fun than power. Nothing cornered like a mini back in the day.

No pictures but my first car was a mini 998cc city on a C reg.
Purchased in the dark and wasn’t perfect but god I loved it. Went to mini in the park in oxford and back and never had so much fun! Straight away fitted minilites, new plates and a speedo/rev counter from a cooper. Amazingly the wires were already there. Learnt to do a fair few diy bits on it, new radiator, subframe bushes, brakes, exhaust etc.

Chose this picture as you can actually see my first car in the background there! A piece of s**t 1.0 12v Corsa GLS. The CRX was my first interesting car though; yes of course it was at the height of Fast & Furious as you can probably tell but loved it at the time! I bought it with the actually extremely rare kit on (forget the name now) but changed the wheels and got it resprayed in Subaru WR Blue myself...
Mine was a BMW e30 318i which I bought for £500. I loved that car and shouldn't have sold it! It was standard other than the pipercross induction kit I fitted, along with twin tailpipes and dodgy cut out bumper.
I once lost it on a wet S bend chasing a Fiesta Zetec S and I ended up caving in the left side front wing into a post. Bought another wing and it looked fine again. Lesson learnt though!

Mk5 Zetec S, was mint once i’d finished it. Retro fitted all the Ghia/Puma goodies and the rear Disc conversation. It’s still going strong now according to MOT History check.
