pikey way to remove tyres?

going to refurb my wheels this week, is there an easy way to remove the tyres without taking them to a garage? never something ive done before

I found the best way is to ask a garage to just pop the tyre away from the edge so you can get underneath the edge/lip. All you need to do to put it back is pump it up at one of your local tyre pumps in one of the super markets.
