Piper cams

  Silver Clio 172 Phase 1
I remember years ago someone had them and they worked really well for them, andyman perhaps?
Better than actual catcams for him.
Although I hear they can be a bit noisy as there regrinds I think

Reprofiled cams don't make any more noise, they are fine. No different to any other cams up to a point and then the hydraulic lifters can't cope with how much material has been removed from the cams, then you need solid lifters. But there's nothing wrong with reprofiled cams :)

I've seen andyman's results and for the price of them you can't go wrong. Compared to the cost of Catcams I'm surprised more people don't run them.

Anyway, is it going to be a case of live mapping or does one of the tuners offer a map?

Yeah it'l be live mapping i'm afraid fella, or you could try the datalogging route with an RStuner from fastchip?

I know the engine dynamics cams package used to come with a basemap and an RStuner if you did it yourself at home?
But even with a basemap i'd still have it looked at by someone who knows what there doing as its quite a big change to the engine

Thats what i've got the ED cams had them for about 2/3 years now and they were only £750 fully fitted and mapped when i had them done so not bad really!
