pipercross induction kit?

hey i baught a pipercross induction kit for my 2002 1.2 16v clio the other day and tryed to fit it, the plastic adapator plate seemed a bit cheap and the bit of the filter that slides over it being way bigger diatmer by about 2mm seemed abit off to me? i wrapped electrical tape (had nothing else) around the adaptor to give a snugger fit and then tighted the clip up till it was as tight as it goes

all fitted on the car, started the car and when i rev'd it sounded like air was being blown out somewhere around it?

any help/ideas on what might be wrong?

Are you sure you have the correct kit for your car.

I thought i had the right kit for my car being a 1.4RT, but theres 2 bolt and 3 bolt etc.

its deffently the right kit the adaptor plates correct etc jus seems the end of the cone that goes over the adaptor plate was like a mm or 2 too big maybe its jus the way its supposed to be :S
