pissed off with k-tec

rant time...

i ordered the apex springs n shocks about 4 weeks ago.
it said next day on the site

i got a phone call the next day saying that it would be 3 weeks for delivery, i said i couldnt wait this long as my car was waiting for the body shop n said just cancel the order and i would get others from sumwhere else.

only to be rung back a hour later and they would have them to me in 10 days. i sed aslong as they would be there in that time that that was ok.

10 days came and went.
after me emailg them they said today, which was over the 3 weeks they originally said, however they still didnt come.i insured my other car so i could fit them tonite.
however after them not being here i emailed again to be told that it would be wed.

i no they have had some suply problems im just annoyed that i was promiced them in 10 days to be here 4 weeks later still suspensionless

i know for a fact why your having problems, its K-Tecs supplier, we use the same people at work who are the ONLY people who bring Apex gear into the country...............they are s**t when it comes to delivery dates

they tell you next week, it comes, nope yours wasnt on this shipment, maybe next week, they tell you yea its on the next one, definitely, its not

its because they come from holland, all the warehouse people are probably smashed off there tits

it isnt K-Tecs fault, they are only telling you what they get told

We have had the same problems as i mentioned on MSN

The same kit took around 3-4 weeks for our customer, then turned up just as a set of springs.

At least we kept the customer updated which we always try to do, like Brun says there is only 1 UK Distributor so it would take the same time from any company that you ordered from, some are just more optimistic with delivery dates

As David has said time and time again on this site he gets HUNDREDS of emails, chasing up an order my email is not the best way of getting hold of them for something like this...

Ive actually had good results from K-tec compared to some of the other "tuning companies" who use CS.

The point is he's dealing with K-Tec, not K-Tecs supplier, he ordered from K-Tec and paid K-Tec, no one else.

Fact is, they made you wait ages, I'd want some sort of discount, or money back.

It's K-Tecs job to moan at the suppliers.

yup your contract is with the people you handed the money over to. If they have agreed a date it is their responsibility to stick to it or offer a refund/compensation in the event that they breach the delivery date.

yes, if a delivery date was confirmed and has passed, then he is entitled to a refund, however, he isnt going to get it any quicker ordering it from someone else, as they will only come into the country through the same company that ALL Apex gear does

its up to him, if he really wants the Apex he HAS to wait, if not, get a refund or get a different kit from them

Im sure they are, i have moaned at them myself loads of times, it doesnt seem to make a blind bit of difference though.........they have a moan at the factory in Holland, but it seems to fall on deaf ears

Please note that I did not process the order or take any money from your credit card until this Monday when I had it confirmed the kit was in stock. The kit was then sent out yesterda and should be with you today.

I find it hard to believe our supplier some times. We have ordered and sold alot of Apex suspension and they only order what is needed to fullfil the orders they have. They cannot seem to work out they need to stock parts as well. We try to order much more tha we need but sometimes their stock levels do not allow for large orders.

Anyway we have now had a moan at them and we hope to get good stocks again very soon.

I ordered Apex 60mm Springs from www.potn.com . They said it would take upto 5 working days. Eventually recieced them around 3/4 weeks later. Phoned them after 2 weeks and their response was something to do with a back-log of christmas orders, something along those lines.
Anyhow, got them fitted now and it's all worth the wait!!
