pistons

Hi am goin to be puttin hi comp pistons in my engine.bores are all spot on etc.question is.is it ok to use standard gasket for block to head?also lookin at using 12.6.1.these any good for road use?cheers.

I'd recommend a rebore, as the bores will have worn, putting in some pistons without boring it won't last very long before it stars buring oil.

Standard gasket is fine up to 83.5mm iirc.

If you haven't got your pistons yet, I can supply them at a good price.

Do you deffo need a rebore.had it all checked and all seems fine.no hav'nt got the pistons yet.look at gettin wossner pistons and rods.rough rebore price?

I do a wossner piston package with rods at £850 delivered. I'd always advise a rebore, total price is about £300 after all the seals and oil jets replaced as part of the job. You don't have to do it, the price for the pistons isn't any extra.
