plastic surround on handbrake leaver near buttonremoval?

if i hacksaw this off carefully nothing underneath to hold it all in place as looks really gash i just want bare metal and the button exposed?

try and explain that again.... do you want to remove it properly along with the rest of the interior?

basically everything stripped but the handbraked has the plastic cover to the rea thats just clips off, then you are left with the plastic handle thats at the top of the handbrake i want to remove this but it must be glued on how can i get it off? have to cut it? but scared if wire underneath or cable ?
