Plastikote/dip spray paint stuff

I have some exterior plastic trim parts that I fancy changing the colour of, but not permanently in case I sell it.
Rather than messing up a wrap, what is this plastikote stuff like?

Presuming it can protect the paint underneath and is pretty durable, like a wrapping? You don't have the key the surfaces or anything?

Or will it just turn out poo? I'm after a matte finish but not sure if you can spray this stuff on, too thick/thin or just generally mess something up.

It's not cheap stuff and you'll need a fair few coats to make it look good, also heard horror stories of it peeling peoples lacquer off when they remove it, but these were yank reviews so who knows, you should be fine if it's just plastic trim pieces.
