Play in solid top mounts

i have very slight play in my not very old solid top mounts. we're talking half a mm if that. the play is between the spherical bearing and the mount itself. it this normal or should they be absolutely solid?

I've got same ones and not noticed any play at all in them

how much have you tightened down the brass nuts?
