Playing DVD's thorugh SatNav screen

I've got the renault colour satnav in my car. Anyone know if it's possible to hook up a DVD player to the screen or is the screen quality too poor for playing DVD's?

I'd like to know this too, also, can you have a screen saver on it, all mine ever says is "read the highway code before driving" would prefer something else!! Admittedly, I haven't read the instructions just like anything technical I've ever owned!!!

I dont think you can have any changes in the screen display!

And as for playing DVDs thru the screen it is high quality enough i think.

You need the AV adaptor like the VDO unit, but im nto sure you can use it in conjuction with the Renault system

You can't do this with a genuine Renault nav system as it has no inputs.
Mines custom fit, uses the VDO system which has av inputs.

Nope but I think that answers the question!! All a bit beyond me, does that mean you have to change the thing in the boot? What about if I got the JVC stereo which can play DVD's and linked that to my screen, sorry if I'm talking sh1t but you lost me at the VDO point!!
