Playstation 2 swap please :(

I have got a Playstation 2 (large) I need it to go into my car, I want to convert it to 12volt but I am unable to do it with my version as I don’t wish to use an invertor due to limited space,

I then went out and bought a brand new PS2 (Large) and its exactly the same as my old one

mine are both 3003 series and I need a 5000 onwards, so I am trying to find someone who is willing to swap my brand new one for a 5000 series, both series are exactly the same the only difference is the power supply is slightly different, if you can help or wish to ask questions please Post

Please note the 5000 series is still the large version so please don’t think I wish to swap a large version for the slimline

I'll have to have a look when I get home but i'm pretty sure mine is a SCHP-50003 if thats any use to you i've probably only ever used it about 5 times.
I take it the the 30003 is still the revised version with the quieter fan, ir reciever and dvd+-rw support ?

they are exaclty the same features just not enternally if you can have a look mate be great where abouts are you baised?

Just checked an the one i've got here is a 30003 , i've got two though so it might have been the other one that was the 50003 though thats in doncaster (i think :S) so sorry I don't think I can be any help.

my bad it's a fixed voltage regulator aint it

also i am fitting it flash int he glove box so i need the tray to come out from the front not from the pop up like the slim line
