please help i want to convert my ps2 to run off 12v is there anyway i can do it??? i remember seeing it a car mag but cant fint it PLEASE HELP

There are supposed to be 2 makes of 12v conversion kit for the PS2. 1 is good and one is sh*te but i dont know which is which.

You might want to check that first before ordering.
 


If youre going for a power inverter, make sure you get a true sine wave version and not the cheap ones that are about £40ish, these cheap versions will eventually trash whatever sensitive device (such as ps2) you plug into them!

Sorry, but thats a load of tosh..

The only difference you are likely to notice is if you plug an analogue clock or something with timing chips in it they will run slow/fast if they rely on the HZ frequency.

Your best is to go for the inbuilt conversion that replaces the 240v unit inside the PS2, essentially if you use an inverter your going from 12v > 240v > 12v and inverter are far from 100% efficient which means your gonna be burning a lot of excess energy in the way of heat.

Whats the point of inverting the 12 to 240 when the ps2 runs on 12v anyway (okay there are 5v supplies etc too but you get the point).
