Please help 172 engine

Clio Cup 172 Sport.

Anyone else get a weird pulsing squeak at full throttle between 6000 & 7000 rpm under full throttle ? any ideas as to what it is ? Could it be something to do with the Variable Valve timing etc ? Ive only noticed it since I got the car back from the workshop but it may have been there all the time but I just didnt hear it till now. Anyone know if this is normal for the 172 engine ?

Cant say Ive ever noticed this. The VVT actuator comes in at around 1500 rpm so it wont be that. Id get the dealer to have a listen if I were you.

Called the dealer earlier. Said he didnt know what it was so see how it is in a few days and then call to pop it up to them and take the mechanic out for a thrash.

There has been some mention of cam belt pullys before...but youd probably hear that before it got to 6K. Best get it checked asap!

Ill mention it when I call them later this week. Ive already had a new belt and tensioer fitted after only 1700 miles. Im only just approaching 2k now !
