PLEASE HELP!!! Urgently need Aux Belt Changing guide??

Hello All,

I've got the bits to change the Aux Belt & Idler on my Girlfriends MK1 172 tomorrow morning but don't have a guide on how to do it??

I know there's one on here somewhere, but i'm bummed if i can find it!!!

Can someone either explain how to relieve the tension on the top idler bearing or send me through the explanation as to how to do it ASAP please??

Unless there is another more detailed document, google 'clio 3286a' and the first hit is said document and includes information relating to the accessories belt.

Bumper off
Os wheel off
Arch liner off
Top bolt out of alternator and swing it forward
Either a jubilee clip on the tension spring to relieve the pressure or a proper tool to put in the square below the tensioner and push tool forward. (I preference the jubilee clip so you have both hands free to change belt.
Remove belt
Remove tensioner, 2 bolts iirc and change
Remove idle pulley and change
New belt on
Bolt alternator back up
Relieve pressure on tension spring
Put car back together.

Think that's everything..
