I am vert tempted to buy a valver to run as second car to satisfy speed needs. good idea? i can get a 94 one in blue for 1500 -highish mileage. Insurance is reasonable but will i be disappointed after a 02 reg clio?

Its much much faster than ur current car, handles better, looks better and is probably built better as well.

Go for it. Make sure it has loads of recipts and and read the buying guide on the forum!

I had an 02 dci mate and Im far from disappointed. By far and away the best car Ive ownedinevery aspect bar one. Build quality.

The quality is actually better than the 02 car I had but not quite as good as the Xsara I used to own. But hey, Im nit-picking now!

as said before, make sure you getr one with lots of history/bills etc

(so you know that various bit have been replaced etc) as they can be expensive,

the other thing is that, it wont depreciate much (if at all) because it already has !

Damn -was gonna go test drive but seriously pi**ing it down plus the guy wont let me drive without insurance!!!. If it does clear up what should i be looking out for and what price shud i offer for M reg with 94 k miles?????/

depending on the condition of the m plate one, i wouldnt expect it to go for less than 2k,

my mates was on 83k (blue m plate) a few dents etc & he got 2.5k for it, he paid 2700 for it a few months before.

the best bargain was yozzas valver, that was mint, either on a m or n plate (i cant remember) 60 odd thousand mles, that was up on autotrader for something like 2k (before he bought it)
