Pleased with matched inlets

  titanic killer
Ive fitted my matched inlets and took it out for a spin and thought'yes thats better' but then thought maybe its in my head because of the wait and anticipation etc.....but after a nearly a week with going out in the car at different times im genuinely very pleased with them:D
Alot better low down, feels more responsive over all rev range
Last thing re map and that sound tie everything in

^^ yes, get a remap and you'll be once more happy ! exhaust, airintake already done ?

***just saw my reply-number ; nice figure aint it ?***

^^Yeah for defo, but its the £300 ill need for someone to plug a comp in to and take 20mins loading a map, thats what gets me
prob wont say that after its been done thou, lol

OR... get some one with a rstuner kit to do it for you for say 100 quid.

Thats not going to work, once they have been plugged in to a computer they are locked to the orginal cars ECU, It then costs 50 euros to get an unlock code and access to the database.

thats what i thought mate as i had thought of cheating and doing it that way
Rs tuner kit is looking good atm especailly to pay the extra 50$ for custom one
Tigger there BenRs inlets

Hmm I dont think I would get the wideband kit unless I had cams etc... For a mildy tuned engine theres no need. Although Henk is quite a decent chap so he can probably help just drop him a mail. But you might aswell go down the Rstuner route as a lot of tuners use the maps off henk anyway.

Dont know if I'd bother with port matching unless I had a 172 the ports on the RS inlet are pretty good compared to the 172 inlet.

Good mod once coupled with map, and exhaust.
Yeah full GDI system ITG Maxogen and will maybe put the de cat back on some time too
Defo pulls so much better from low down all the way throu
Cant wait to get one of these RS tuners;)

good to meet you the other week Turner, glad you are pleased with the results fella :)
A up matey
yeh was good to meet you too, wasnt waiting too long in the end!lol
defo is better now with these on just re map left to be done now

no bloodshed then? disappointing! ;) lol

aye, good mods by all accounts, depends how bad Renault balls it up in the first place I spose, getting mine done at some point though. I dont think any of the MK2's bar literally a handful made anywhere near quote book power figures, so most make a nice amount of power, or in worst case scenario's (like Jim's) make 1bhp lol. As it's renault I'd assume most are badly cast though

^^pmsl
The lad showed me mine and then the new one and as mine was the first of the ph2 Y plate(non RS stamped) oh s**t mine was really bad compared to new
Tbh i would love to have it RR'd but you no that can swing both ways!!

  titanic killer

If the lower inlets are in stock turnaround 'Should' be a few days

  titanic killer

Tbh matey the main reason why mine took so long is they were waiting for a batch of lower inlets from there machinist as there cnc'd but i no now after getting mine back that they have them in stock so shouldnt be problem at all mate
cant really say about price as its a really long story but defo worth getting them done
I was really sceptical about getting them done last year as peoples comments varied so much but im well and truley pleased but i do no from looking a\t mine they were very very bad as probably will yours as it'll be a non RS stamper inlet again like mine
