Plusnet ISP

I'm with Pipex, sounds like I've been one of the few lucky ones as service has been good for 3 years, I hear Tiscali are about to buy Pipex's broadband arm and that Plusnet in Sheffield are offering some deals for taking Pipex custom

They've been rated as one of best ISP's, not heard anything bad - Anyone recommend them ? or anyone else

They're a joke unless they changed their act in the last year or two. Constantly changing their T&C, shaping policy and their FUP. Oh and they're liars too. Go onto their sub-forum on the 'thinkbroadband' site and ask the same question.

Steer clear IMO. As for being rated as one of the best...well LOL.

Ta for advice, not sure what to do tbh, might have a look in the forums at thinkbroadband, were it not for Pipex being taken over I'd prob stay with them for now as I only do general surfing and PC multiplayer online, dont do dowloads or have a website etc

Below is hosted on their site but is supposed to be result of an independent review by Uswitch

Whats everyone else use ?

For games I'd recommend Zen/Nildram/Demon/IDnet/Newnet.

Uswitch, not exactly a force in the BB market. Go check out the forums on TB and ask the folk who use the services.

Here you get people suggesting and defending the likes of BT/TalkTalk as being a good ISP.

Pipex own(ed) Nildram, so I guess that's not a choice for him!

Are tiscali going to amalgamate all they pipex sub brands into a single tiscali brand?

"Plusnet, barge pole, with a, wouldn't touch" are some words I'd rearrange to describe dear old PN.....

as far as reliability goes they are pretty good. Customer service however is a total joke.
