Poor idle

  Cliosport ph1 mv647
Hi guys I recently bought a Ph 1 rs and I have had nothing but grief with a dodgey idle. I am running out of ideas and just wanted to see what you thought.

I have done the following.

replace icv
removed tb and cleaned it
checked all Vacuum pipes behind the tb
Gasket sealed the push in sensors on the inlet
Contact cleaner on all the connectors.

I have a gut feeling it's an electrical problem as it's never the same twice. I also get a little problem sometimes I have to wiggle the spade connector on the starter to get it going.

I was told by someone there should be an earth strap at the back of the engine, I can't see one. :/ lol

Also an earth off the loom to the gearbox 13mm bolt I think just above the diff housing.

Also did you replace the icv with a new genuine item?

Butterfly in the throttle body could be worn causing an erratic idle.

Best bet is to get it on clip and take a look otherwise you'll be changing parts that may not need changing

Guys just an update.

Problem solved. Someone had tried to 'polish' my throttle body with quite a rough sand paper.

When you put it up to the sunlight you could see an uneven gap around the butterfly.

Thanks to djw Dave for helping me out with a throttle body!

Thanks to the guys for trying to help :)
