Poor MPG 1,2 Clio

Hi everyone, I have a 1.2 N reg Clio. I put £10 in it earlier & it took it up to 1/4 of a tank, 18 miles later & its less than halfway between empty & a 1/4 of a tank.

Any ideas/solutions which would improve my MPG? I feel like im running a scooby or something lol

Also the car was serviced less than 2000 miles ago.

I wouldn't say the petrol needle is that accurate tbh, mine is a joke. Says I used 3 bars on a 110 mile trip, and just over 1 on the return.

Run it down to the red light, tank it till you can get no more in then reset the trip computer. Then see how many miles you do till it comes on. Best way IMO.

Either that or the lamba sensor.
