Ported inlet,Is it worth doing?

If you have a 1*2 with none RS stamped inlets then it will be more beneficial than if you do have them.

I fitted these to my 172 cup and it was idling at 3000rpm!!! Did not notice any performance increase at all, in fact felt slower. Not worth it IMO.

No you cant port a head without taking it offer the car!

IIRC you feed sand into the air intake (remove filter obviously don't be that stupid) and it automaticaly ports the head. The engine needs to be running for this to work.....der.....

So fairly easy to get the inlets matched then. Who would do this kind of work?

If you talk to MWM they do them on an exchange basis and are done by Neil Roper who is as good as it gets for port work, TBH he is wasted doing silly little jobs like this really given his background, LOL

Interested getting an upper inlet matched to an RS inlet. So considering getting it done based on price and gains
