Portugese Clio back seats/van thingy/magigy

Just come back from Portugal. Loads of Clios and all with like a long parcel shelf and no back seats.
Should have taken some photos but didnt.
What is the score with these, I know they are for some tax erason out there but are they available here, looked kinds smart...

someone from portugal who is on here explained it once. i THINK its got something to do with tax...

These are just the van version. A lot of car-derived vans on the continent are sold with side windows, but in the UK, these windows are one the distinctions between a commercial vehicle and a normal car.
If a business buys a van then they can claim back the VAT on the price. They can't do this if they buy a car, so a van with side windows would work out more expensive.

I see.
Looked quite smart considering my rear seats look tosh (Recaros up front with cheapo bench in the back)! Obviously without the dog barrier.
They didnt look like they had a van floor, the back seems to be at the parcel shelf level.
Anyone know if you can get them over in the UK?
