Posh Priuss' getting a clean!

My brother is moving to the States in 6 weeks and is selling his Lexarse. He asked me to get it prepped for sale and while I was as it, to give my old mans a once over as well. Wont bore you with too much of the details, the pictures will show the results from the below process. This was done over two days due to time, weather and the work they both needed.

- rinse with clean water
- snow foam
- rinse with clean water
- wash (2 bucket method)
- TFR
- clay
- ironx
- Wash (2 bucket method)
- wheel (iron x included)
- rinse and dry
- machine polish
- glaze
- wax
- glass treatment
- interior shampoo
- leather cream

Ha, The cars are big and boring. Looked nice after a wash though. The house is actually several smaller flats inside one big one. I just took the car there for the back drop, makes for a nice photo in my opinion!

When you are inside them and driving them, you can forgive its looks. After cleaning it, it had grown on me. Also the power they both have is surprising, When you press the little "sport launch" button under the center console the 450h is a real animal! 0-60 is just a little over 5 seconds and with traction off the rear end just wants to be in front, they can be a right hoot from such a luxo barge!

All my families cars get properly hanging. The last time the RX was cleaned was 6 months ago by the Russian chaps at an old petrol station. The paint on my dads is like the Black Gold you get on the Clio so you want the sun to catch it, but unfortunately before I got hold of it, all you could see were light scratches and swirls and not so much gold fleck, Iv left my dad a new wash mitten, a bottle of car shampoo and two drying towels for the future. Hopefully he wont undo my work and it will look decent for the next 6 months or so!

As for the wood, Lexus always have some pretty bold colors. They do a yellow/honey wood with cream leather and it is very striking and an almost blue/silver with some of the dark grey interiors. Bright wood really does brighten up the interior in these. It does date it in the long run though. I cant see the inside of any Lexus looking fashionable in 5-10 years time regardless of how comfortable and well built it is!
