Positive Camber Problems

S.J

  Clio 182
Hello all

Took my recently purchased 182 for a geometry setup and was told that I had positive camber on the front.

The car is currently fitted with K-Tec coilovers with camber bolts.

They were unable to fully remove the positive camber, although they did improve it.

I’m looking to use the car mainly on track so was trying to achieve some negative camber.

I’ve been unable to get to the bottom of why the car has this problem, the only suggestion I’ve had so far is that maybe the bottom arms are wrong? Potentially none RS ones and are shorter?

Anyone able to shed any light on this issue before I go and start replacing things?

Is there an easy way to tell if the current bottom arms are the wrong ones?

Thanks

Bit hard to tell but not sure they are genuine wishbones, I do happen to have some second hand 182 cup ones available which I’ll put up on the for sale section tomorrow, they probably need some new bushes in though.

In other news if you’re looking to enjoy your time on track I would look to replace those raceland (Ktec) budget coilovers when you have the chance.

Yes, they’re on the to-do list. Anything in particular you’d recommend?

Just sorted the brakes out and changed all the fluids etc and wanted to make sure all the wheels were pointing in the right direction ready for it’s first outing.

I had this issue bit with just one side. Turned out to be a bent hub. Unlikely for you to have both tho so most likely wishbones you would think

There not genuine renault as the ones pictured have a extra bit of metal around the ball joint bolts.

They're ebay jobbies

I think you’re right, they look identical. Thank you, looks like they’ll need replacing.
