Possible V10 F1 Clio

Was speaking with my mums boyfriend last night who works at a Renault dealership. He told me Renault were developing a V10 F1 Clio to be ready in 2 years time. Not sure how true this is but he certainly knows his stuff. It should give the Nova SRs a run for their money :)

This is from the same company who said it takes 1hr to do a service and it ends up taking all day. And whos mechanics have driven the V8 Clio.

Im reconing the replacement for the V6 is 5 yrs of at best. And a V10 engine that would be to big (unless the new chassic is bigger) as a V10 would be almost twice the lenght how they going to fit that in the Clio.

Well Reno are supposed to be building an affordable sports car in the next few years, although its highly unlikely that it will a) be based on a clio shell, and b) use a v10 engine. It would be too expensive to develop an engine like that for road use when they already have a v6, and a turbod four pot to play with. And it wont be a clio cos that would overshadow the V6.

Expect something in the same mould as the VX220.

im sure it wont be for road use. Reno seem more keen on making smaller engines faster and economical. Went out in a rover 2.5 v6 ZT - that was very fast but being a FWD it just spins like f**k in 1st/2nd/3rd...im sure the thing never touches the ground.
