Swapping clios around with the plan to get the gearbox and engine installed ! Literally cant move in the garage at the moment and the S2000 is meant to sleep in there 😂.

Engine and gearbox is in ! Had afew of them moments on sunday and i decided to fit this prior to eating so my brain wasnt working ! 😂

This is how i left it sunday , forgot to fit manifold so had to then slide it in !

I coudnt get the upper gearbox mount line up with the holes with the vibratechnics mount but figured it out when i got home and had something to eat !

Wheels removed for driveshaft installation.

Passenger driveshaft fitted.

Drivers side hub removed and replaced , play found in bearing and driveshaft support bracket and shaft fitted.

Afew more bits bolted up now.
Inlets and injector were meant to be matt black but powder coaters decided not to do what i asked 😂😂.

Cup Alternator brackets fitted , just need a belt , any ideas what length works with standard pulleys and epas set up.

Trial fitted part of the intake set up , i do have a duct to install and will need to fabricate a bracket. Copying a couple of others members on here as it looked a decent set up.

Radiator need a bracket also unless i decide to put crash panel in as this car had the throttle body set up prior to me.

Uprated dogbone mount fitted and gearstick and linkage , planning to get a PMS but just wanted to fit this temporary.

No real progress as ive been helping my friend get his Integra ready for trackday thr past couple of weekends.

Managed to get my K-brace fitted , probably wont do much with already having the cage.

One step backwards , started having a look at the wiring loom which was fitted under the dash this has been stripped back but ive noticed that the cabling for the throttle has been removed as the car used to run throttle bodies so a new loom is required. Car didnt have engine loom either.

I did geta 182 loom with the white car and it has been modified , pretty sure the guy said he couldnt get it to start so he wasnt sure if it was loom related as somebody else did the loom strip apparently so i will try this loom first and see if i have any joy !
He did give me another loom which has not been modified but im not sure what clio its from as it only has 1 relay but i have noticed it doesnt have the P201 plug either , any ideas people ?

My dash loom from the iceberg went into the white build as i want xenons , elec windows etc

This is the mess , the clocks were stuffed behind this guage panel and lots of additional red cabling used for everything so a nightmare to fault finding etc

All removed to start again , i got 2 dash looms with the white clio , one has been stripped down to remove various things so there is a risk this loom could be bad and the other loom is untouched but it does not have 5 relays and also noticed it doesnt have the P201 plug (square plug) to the UCH so no idea what clio this loom is off , any ideas ?

Was bloody hot tonight lying on the gravel in my scruffs !

This weekend spent abit of time on the red clio.

First up fresh gaskets for the lower and upper inlets.

Got a solid red immobiliser light currently so need to investigate why ? I think red solid light means that the key is recognised but there is a problem.

Need to check whether engine management light pops up or not and go from there , i have a full ecu , ucm etc i can borrow from my white build which is working set.

I am right in thinking the ignition rings are not coded to the car ?

Tried swapping the ecu , key and uch for a spare set i have and still getting a solid red light so the puzzle continues 🤔.

I will try the ecu set from the white clio on the red clio and see if i get the same.

So i spent afew hours tonight on the car , checked the relays in emgine bay and swapped them over from my running clio.

Checked all the fuses as well , i have noticed various cores have been cut so im thinking a signal i need is one of those wires which have been cut !

I installed a spare interior loom i got with my white shell , i think this is possibly just a generic clio loom as there alot less relays compared to the sport loom but i have noticed the brown rear loom connector is black on this loom and different so can connect it uo for fuel pump !

The immobiliser issue has gone away though and the car turns over , just not getting fuel obviously 😂.

Fitted front wing back on. Need to remove this dash loom with some odd connectors on , rear loom connector block is different to all my other looms.

Once i get new loom fitted we shouldnt be to far away.

Not alot done on this today ! Just fitted the oem washer bottle back in and windscreen wiper motor and scuttle panels.

Fitted the bumper with great difficulty , doesnt seem to fit very well at all ! May need to look at swapping this !

Fitted replacement interior loom , i now have a main beam light on the dash , the other loom didnt do this so must be a dodgy wire somewhere !

Connected to the existing rear loom and still couldnt hear the fuel pump prime so i fitted the spare one , i did find an earth on the interior loom aswell !

The pump is priming and getting fuel level , i have the stop sign on the dash but im assuming this is because i have no abs on the car ?

The car wasnt turning over so i checked the starter motor cabling and also disconnected alternator positive and retightened and it turns over and started ! Must have been a bad / loose connection.

Car is running but i have noticed an oil leak where the thermostat housing is ! Looks like the corner bolt hole will need a helicoil.

Mines leaking from the side of the block. One of the bolts is not tightening up.

Pretty sure i had to helicoil one of the other holes years ago.

Need to sort this out , the car was not running the standard clocks , just cheap guages and a phone holder for Gps speed i guess.

The standard clocks dont sit right at the moment so just got them cable tied to the dash support , will have to see what i can do to make them sit better within the dash.

I have an abs ecu to install so hopefully i have a working speedo then as i didnt like the previous install and not having a rev guage.

Repaired one of the threads tonight on the thermostat housing as i noticed an oil leak when i got the car started !

Still have the starting issue ! Car is not even attempting to turn over again ! Immobiliser flashes and goes of with the key but the car doesnt even turn over.

The other day i checked starter motor connections then the positive to the alternator and the car started.

Ive disconnected ecu , removed throttle body etc to do the thread repair so surely its a wiring issue.

Will have to check everyrhing again tonight , read all sorts on here , any ideas ? Will check the white wire to starter motor first incase bad connection.

Not much done this weekend , waiting for a replacement gasket for the thermostat housing, should be here monday.

In the meantime i fitted a replacement crank sensor and loom and i think this has solved the starting issue , well it turned over fine so fingers crossed.

Also decided to try my new purchase out ! Bought a brake bleeder lastyear and didnt work from day one ! Also bought and easybleed which i never got to work either !

Excuse the poor fitting bumper , need to see if i can get it to fit better , not sure if it the foglights as they have been modified at the rear , at the same time its a trackcar !
