Powder Coating

well to be honest i can't quite make my mind up!
First of all i wanted to get my alloys refurbed as all the paint on every single wheel is bubbling
then i decided i want to get them resprayed in anthracite, then i decided i might as well buy some new ones in anthracite from ktec, then i decided that i can't be arsed to but new ones so i will revert back to my original plan. But then someone said to me why not get them powder coated in black. can you powder coat in other colours?
I think you (fred) gave me a price before for a refurb (inc tyre removal) but problem was, there is no way i can send the wheels up to you, as i need the car everyday

i have loan sets of wheels mate, you borrow a set whilst yours are being redone
we have loads of different colours, pink, orange, green, black, white etc etc etc etc any colour you want pretty much (price obviousy varies)
where are you in the country???

i do powder coating only done a few sets of rims though! it'll definatly offer more protection than cellulose or 2-pack paint. they'll stay shiney for longer and dont need as much care.Fred2001Dynamic said:

3. removing imperfections
4.heating rims to 200 degrees,cost???
5.painting them
6.curing for 10-15 mins @180-200 degrees,cost???
7.putting tyres back on.
missed out a few things but you get the idea.plus you are also paying for the expertise as its not as easy as people reckon.well worth the money for a better than factory finsh!

also fred early next year il be getting my turinis redone as there starting to peel a bit and have slight kerbing. only thing is i want the same colour as GTGaz`s
EDIT: Also wanted to go a bit mad and try kawasaki green on my cup lol, you got any pictures of a turini in kawasaki green ?

im based in chester,think freds in the midlands.if i was you id get fred to do 'em.i haven't been doin it too long,i paint more gates and that type of thing.i've got some wheels to pratice on though!
where i work the shotblast uses iron filings which would be too corse for the delicate alloy.would powder coat anything anyone wanted though!
also do zinc plating?

Fred see when you powdercoat wheels back to the original silver can you still get that slight metallic effect that dynamique wheels have or would that need to be paint?

i just bought some mk2 172 alloys, they need a refurb and i want them a darker colour, similar to the ones carbon copy has, can anyone give me an idea of the colours available.
does refurb come in the cost of getting coloured??
