Powdercoating and Paint colour.

Wheels are going in for powedercoating gloss white as we speak, they couldnt powdercoat the centre caps with them being plastic.

Just wondered if the colour is going to be un-noticabely the same if i spray them gloss white and lacquer them with the tins from halfords?

You might have to take on a bit of 'trial and error' to get the match perfect, white can be a pain in the arse sometimes.

Gloss black wasn't mate.

Can't comment on white but I shouldn't imagine it would be much different!

took it to a place in bradford after looking on here and seeing some decent comments/referals. Cost like £1 per inch so 15quid a wheel in my case for standard colours doing or £1.50 an inch for custom colours. Theyre sorting a few bits of damage on the wheel for me aswell. 60quid for the lot seemed alot nicer than some of the 160quid quotes i was getting so thought id give them a go.

theyre just the standard 172 wheels, will put pics up once they are done if u like.

as said, white can be a pain as it can look very different very easily.

I got a set done for £60 2 years back. Went back to same place and price had doubled. seems i'd led them into a new market!

Will do, pretty curious myself mate haha but for 60quid and a few people saying theyre spot on for the money.. i think thats a decent price will wait a see, should get them back on friday.. monday at the latest i think.

Nah mate you have to take them the alloys only, that wasnt really a problem for me as uncle works in a tyre garage so could take them straight off. Simple, you take them the alloy and they blast it and coat it etc etc.

cant really complain for 60quid though

For those that wanted pictures well heres a few, it took them 3 days to get them finished after id dropped them off and to be honest i cant fault them.. quality for the price i paid is awesome.

I did the centre caps myself and they look near perfect if im honest, picture does do it any justice though because of the lighting haha

Yeah, i was surprised with the result.. didnt expect them to come out as well as they have done. The place is just a general powerder coaters.. saw some guy coming out with some old fashioned weighing scales powdercoated white lol. Guessing thats why they dont charge as much as alloy wheel specialists as they do all sorts of jobs. Recommend them to anyone though.
