power and remote cable for amp

Hi everyone, I have some questions.

What is the best way to run a power cable from the battery to the boot for an amp?

Does the standard renault head unit have a remote out so that the amp will come on when the cd player is turned on? if not, how could i go about this?

Also has anyone upgraded their sound system but kept the standard cd player?

the renault stereo doesnt have a remote out, but you can take a feed for this from the ignition feed going to the stereo, so the amp just turns on with the ignition. You also would need an amp that allows you to put powered signal into it.

When you say powered signal is this the same as speaker level input?

no not hard at all, if i were you id get an aftermarket headunit.

yeah but i have several reasons for not wanting to change from the standard but i wont bore you with those.

your best bet of running the power cable is through the bonnet release cable . there should be a grommet in the passangers footwell behind the carpet . sits quite snug etc through there . thats where i put mine .
