power boost valve on a standard car

my 1.6 has a power boost valve which the previous owner fitted. what are the gains im getting from this? from what I've been reading its probably doing me more bad than good because my car has no other engine mods

take it off, will just cause you to run rich

^^ thats the impression I have got from a little research on em. Take it off, see what difference is made (if any), report back to CS and then Sell. You'd get something reasonable forit on the bay

yh prob running too rich.but maybe not!it maybe set up properly?
its perfect if you want to add bits later?

To set it up properley im sure you have to get the pressures from the fuel rail, i would take it of as the car will be just running rich, well on my old gsi corsa it wasnt set up properley and it did this

as far as I am aware these are only of any use on Carb engines

ok. how much of a faff is it to take out? rekon i should just have a garage do it? (i have no literally mechanical knowledge)
