Looking in the engine bay I can see no way of getting to where the grommet feeds out.... Is there a simply way.

I have remover the coolant reservoir but there is lots of sound proofing

Easiest to do it from the inside and push the cable through to the outside. Where you based?

And after re reading your thread, you should be able to loosen the sound proofing and get your hand down to the cable, tight fit i know but its the only way.

Im in Reading mate. This is really doing my head in lol. I have not tried pushing the cable through yet. Do you think that could be the way to go?? Then force my hand down to try and get hold of it?

Right then thats what ill have to do. Was hopeing there might be a quick tip. 1 more cuppa coffee then ill get back to work. Cheers

yeah i think so, metal coat hangers are always good (if you can get it through the grommit and then bend it

tbh you dont have to remove the coolant bottle just the PAS resevoir (it unclips) will be enough. if you get stuck im in swindon and dont mind helping you do it if you popped down the m4 at the weekend.

Yup coat hanger, screwdriver from the inside with the cable taped to it is the way to go. Bit closer to marlow/maidenhead and id have driven over to help at lunch

coat hanger did it for me, really sprap the wire to the hanger

double up the hanger and wrap round, then clamp it together with pliers, you will have to pierce a hole like i did yesterday

I have just fitted my sub and amp, i simply removed the power steering bottle (the one to the right of the coolant bottle)

Then feel down for the grommet, and push, then get the good old coat hanger from the inside, and oull it through.

Its hard but not impossible!
