power steering 182 sport

hello, ive lost all my power steering fluid on further inspection ive worked out it must be the power steering pump thats leaking as theres oil everywhere around it and on my alternator/air con pump and the pipes are all intact.

first question is, is it worth sticking a secondhand pump on (ebay £50) or getting a recon one or sending mine away for fixing?

second question is how do i remove the pump?! ive removed the front bumper and tbh it doesnt look any easier lol

any help would be much appreciated.

bit of a tw*t to do fella, slam panel has to come off, upper engine mount, aux belt off, tensioner off, upper alt bracket off, alternator off, pulley off pump and THEN you get to the PAS pump

we have new recon units on the shelf for £160inc vat

great! how do you take the pulley off the pump? is it pressed on?
