power steering fluid.. Is it supposed to be this colour..?

Just unscrewed said cap and.. it looks like strawberry milkshake with a frothy head around the top rim and underside of the cap - is this alright?

Should have ATF in it, mines a dark red, No froth ever builds up in it either

I have seen a VW pump do this when it was running low as it was pumping fluid + air which made it froth up.

It can froth up occasionally, especially if the level is low.

Top it up an start the car with the cap off an turn the steering lock to lock a few times, this should get any air out an then refit the resivoir cap.
