Power Steering Fluid Question

Is Castrol TQ Dextron III automatic transmision fluid OK for 172 power steering?

Nope don't go sticking auto fluid in an power stearing the fluid is much thinner (I think its this way round) so it will leak and so make more leak paths out of your system.

I thought you're meant to put ATF into power steering? Not sure about MKII's but for my valver the book in halfords recommended non-ford ATF...

Yeah usually it is tqd3 fluid for the vast amjority of cars i thought.
