Power steering gone......

The power steering has gone on my Mrs' mk2 1.4 clio.

• Belt is still on
  
  
• Pump is still working (removed metal pipe from pump and turned over)
  
  
• Still got fluid - no leaks that I can see.

So im thinking the rack? Anyone had any experience with this?

Any ideas would be appreciated, I'm getting grief to fix it!!

Replaced the pump, all fixed now!

Despite pumping with the pipe off, it would appear that under pressure it couldn't hack it!!
