Power steering Screeching

Whats Knackered? The pump?
When im doing low speed manouvers,like parking.The steering makes a horrid noise when I get near full lock.Its been doing it for about 6 months now but has got louder lately.
Any probs with me just driving on with it like it is?

Get a mate to apply full lock and watch the PAS pump pulley.

Normally high pitch squeel is the pulley locking up because the belt is old or under tensioned.

No biggie.

check the fluid level, and the tyre pressures mate. One or both of these is normally the cause.

Had same with mine check the fluid level!
