B boom Oct 27, 2013 #1 Recently fitted my cup alternator setup and my power steering is now whining slightly on idle and noticeably so when turning the wheel. Sounds like a mini power steering. Could this be down to the belt being to tight?

Cupman29 Car 172 cup, Impreza P1 Oct 28, 2013 #2 Sounds like it is low on fluid or needs bled. It is cavitating either way.

Dr HMS Derv Destroyer ClioSport Club Member Car MK1DCi/vivaro/REN’11 Oct 28, 2013 #4 Cap off, and lock to lock. Stopping at each lock for a few seconds whilst holding it on lock. Repeat until no more air escapes
