i don't think their will be much of a shortage of these, its not christmas, and they are too pricy for young kids, so parents won't buy.
I would tell my kid to piss off if he wanted one of those !

No, actually it isn't. It's a completely different format and standard. Their only common element is that they are both optical storage media.
Blu-rayhehehehe, well is MGM want to bring about that Total-HD format, by glueing a HD-DVD disc back to back with a Blue-Ray disc, then why not i guess
exactly! No, actually it isn't. It's a completely different format and standard. Their only common element is that they are both optical storage media.

lol, i have no need to try one in anything other than my hd-dvd player, looks like a dvd to me, infact, whenever lovefilm send me my films i have to double check what format they have sent me, SD or HD as the discs are exactly the same.Try playing a HD-DVD in a DVD player, let me know how you get on dave.
I'm not splitting hairs over this, my closing point remains that they are completely different formats, using different technology/wave-lengths/laser colours/codecs/drm etc etc.
The common thread is, they're stored on optical discs.
Now lets go back to talking about the PS3 flopping...
can't decide, going to america this week so will go to best buy and try one out and pretty much decide from that, i am pretty sure i willStill not buying one Dave??
