Hey guys, Well I'm glad this one's over! This belongs to my brother who Is part Exing It for a newer model, only up In Scotland!! (Don't ask, I don't understand either!) So, with a long drive ahead come Tuesday, I wanted to make sure she was well protected. I wasn't after correction as such, just a good tidy up.
This has always been treated to £5 hand car washes, as my brother hasn't the time, patients or knowledge to do It himself. I was horrified upon Inspection!
I started her friday eve after work & did the following -
Pre soak with G101
Wheels cleaned with Mark V Ideal wheel gel
Arches sprayed with G101
Entire car pw
A nice thick mix of Hyper Wash & Snow foam applied to car
Rinse
Wash 2bm with TW Liquid Ice shampoo
Rinse
Car clayed with Z18
Snow foamed again
Washed 2bm straight onto the foam
PW car
Dried with ultra plush towels
Chippy & cuppa then off to the airfield & In the hangar to leave her over night.
Saturday morning, I couldn't get out of bed! Late start, 10am, tut tut! It probably had something to do with my aching kidney but I battled on!
A quick ONR wipe down, dried & taped up. Coffee :)
Out with all the kit which was -
Menzerna Polishes
G220
Menzerna, lake country & Rubbishboys pads
3M tape
Auto Glym SRP
Mark V IP 100 applied via G220
Megs #16 wax
Auto Glym Fast Glass
Megs tyre Indurance
Megs qd
Paint Detective PTG
Lots of mf's!
Tardis
Autosol
Brinkman
Twin Halogens
So on with it, not many before pics

After I had worked my way round the car I then wanted to mask some of the deeper rds's so I applied some SRP on a german applicator pad. I wanted to apply a few coats but I was In agony tbh!
So, 9am start this morning. Set up the G220 & applied IP100 Sealant, followed by Megs #16 & a final wipe down with Z8. Windows cleaned, wheels given a QD & dressed the tyres.

Good lord that paint was horrific to start with! Although I suppose being black doesn't help, however it really helps show the improvement you've made, lovely sir!

Looking good, but was it worth it if it's being traded in? Are they giving him more now?

When you're buying from a distance, its always best to make sure the px is as good as you can get it. Nothing worse than turning up after driving 7 hours for the dealer to say ''The cars fcuked, I'm knocking £500 off the value''.

imo anyway.
