I think i know the answer to this, but I'm off to see Everton vs Fulham on saturday. My mate is a season ticket holder and has got seats on the front row level with the halfway line - prime spot for some photos. Are you allowed to take "professional cameras"?

I took mine to Newcastle v Man City last season and they didnt say anything even with a big 70-300mm on the front of it.

i took my 350d and 70-200 lens to the race of champions and was told to put mine away several times, i didn't ofcourse, there was nobody sitting directly infront of me soi couldn't see the issue.

i'd say front row, you should get decent shots with a 200, especially being at the half way line.

Only issue is some pitches i have been to have the pitch raised so front row means you are looking at their shins, think old trafford was one of those.

Can't see you having many issues with a 200 though, bit of cropping but you should get some great action shots.

I used my 200 at an american football game in the summer and was half way up a huge stadium and got great shots.

Technically you're not allowed to take any pictures at all (the club have intellectual rights over all pictures taken of the players etc.. or something like that)..... but if you can get your camera in without the stewards seeing it I doubt anyone will say owt.

never got around to uploading and cropping them but here are a few that i took, half way up the stadium and without any cropping or editing, straight out of the camera, god i love the 70-200L!
