Premium Increased because of non-fault accident!!!

Let me guess ... is your insurance with part of the Admiral group?
I had somebody lightly tap the rear of my 172 whilst I was stationary at some traffic lights about 6 months prior to me getting the Vee. Nothing major but did go through insurance to get bumper replaced. It was only when I went to renew my insurance, which was by then on the Vee, that I discovered the absolute piss take policy that Admiral have.
I was told that whilst the accident was totally not my fault, and hence my full no claims was unaltered, that my insurance had been increased because my risk factor had increased. I asked how so, when the accident was the commonest around and I was totally blameless. Got back some b****cks about how their actuarial model showed that people who'd been involved in a no fault accident were more likely to be involved in an at fault accident within 3 years. WTF! I clearly told them were to stick their policy, and then again when they wrote to me to ask why I'd moved away from them.
I then spent a couple of years (and beyond as witnessed by the above) ranting about them, before promptly returning once I no longer had to tick that "accident in last 3 years" box, because as much as I hate them, they're the cheapest by a long shot

we were told this when some stupid bint hit me at the start of the year. Admiral tried to charge us more becuase "you are more likely to cause and accident now", so because someone hit me I have to pay. I just went mad and argued with them, they removed the increase

This happened to me and was with admiral or the same group! was hit up the back side in my lotus! NONE FAULT CLAIM AND NOT MY FAULT they did no work - as all the work was carried out by accident exchange! i was in the process of selling anyway! as i wanted another 182 (to get rid of finance) they increased the premium from 700 to 1400 iirc! had a real fall out with them! and told them to stuff it! ended up finding ins for 600 odd (from a specialist that actually knew what they were quoting on! wouldnt ever go back to them what with there attitude ended up going with esure with the 182... im sure i still pay a premium tbh for being hit up the back side

I shopped around and they were the cheapest, not by much tho so I will have another look to see if anyone can beat them this time. Still within my 14 day cooling off period so they can get fucked if I find it cheaper!!

How does someone hittin you make you more likely to cause an accident! However teh fact that I am a trained Driving Instructor doesnt bring my price down?

thats insane that just because theres a correlation between the two, they use it as an excuse to charge you more!
therye twisting it to imply causality for theyre own financial gain!
im suprised they dont say that uninsured drivers are more likely to crash... therefore

What also pisses me off is that i had a girlfriend on my insurance once and she ran into the back of someone. The other party claimed for a new bumper and because the policy was in my name and she was only a named driver i had to declare the accident as my fault when renewing my policy.

Funny you say that, i had a crash in my mums golf 2 years ago now (NON- fault) and i was a named driver on her policy yet when i got my documents through from adrian flux, it said me AND my mum had been in an accident on the same day and she had nothing to do with it

Have they actually said it is because of the claim? If so, that doesn't sound right.
Insurance premiums are going up across the board, typically at around 12%

I was with Bell a few years back, I made a non-fault claim, come renewawl time they added a fair amount on because of the claim.
I cancelled the policy, and went to Direct Line - I've been happy since! They were the cheapest by far when I got hte 182 insurance a few months back!
