Pretensioner question

I didn't know where to post this..so i guessed here :rasp: ... anyway

I have just got some reclinable corbeau seats for my clio. and i was wondering ... when i replace the standard seat with the corbeau one.. the airbag in the seat won't be there.. but would the pretensioner still go off in an accident even without the seat airbag in place

if so could i attach the standard pretensioner and seatbelt clip unit to the corbeau subframe of my new seat

Yeah.. go me.. so it could work then even without the airbag

you'll have to get the airbags turned off on a Renault clip computer

cant i keep the steering wheel and passanger seat airbag then

you have to put 2 resistors in for the steering wheel (if you're removing the airbag) 3.4ohm from memory

the seats however require the Clip computer to reprograme the cars settings, otherwise you'll have a light on the dash

so if i want to use the standard pre tensioner with my new seat i have to put resistors in all the airbags
