i have recently bought a 172 clio from a local dealer, i paid 900 (part exed my lupo 98/t reg 89k) for it with 56k on the clock on a 02 there has been a headlight replaced, and there is a rattle in the exhaust where the mount has broke. apart from this the car is mint there has been seats on the covers for the last 30k as the last owners looked after it well. is there anything i should look for that would reflect the low price?

dont no if i have been sold a pup or picked up a bargin

Exhausts and engine mounts are common problems.

Although you haven't really paid £900 as you traded in your car and without knowing what that's worth, it's impossible to say whether you got a good deal. If you're happy, then it's all good.

P.S. It's a RenaultSport, not a Clio Sport.

How come you didnt get the dealer to sort the exhaust mount before picking it up?

the dealer knocked 100 pound of the price because of this problem and with my friend been a clio entustiast he said he will do it for nothing

As said, a mount isn't a lot of money and is easy to fix. If everything else checks ok then enjoy one of Renault's finest:approve:

the cars mint jack if its not al give u mine theres a few problems given the age but for the money u wont get better
