Private plate retention times

Just wondering if you have taken a plate off how long does it take to get the log book back ? I assume it's pot luck with the dvla ?

Do they normally go back to the original plate number ?

Goes back to original plate 9/10
Takes 7-10 for new log book
Takes longer, say two weeks for the retention form.

All the above depends on obviously how busy they are etc.

Recently done mine on a Friday and had log book back following Thursday.

I tried to get it done before 7pm but couldn't find the bloody log book in time
