probelm MOT soon steering wheel related wiring ?

hi basically got a ph2 172 ans if you changed your whell etc then you know bhind the boss there is a clip holding in what we call on here the spagetti ring , wel somehow the live red wire next to the black one has snapped along with the airbag one , meaning i have no horn, how ever i am not wiorried about the airbag as have aftermarket wheel, does any one know if i can buy a new spaggeti asembely or does the wiring for horn go further back help and if you have spare part let me know cheers pm !!!!?

ill have to take some basically wire red for the horn the live has snapped and wondered if i can buy a 2nd hand one off here the ring with spagetti like wiring cheers? hopefully people will know i mean :S

well wheres it broken theres about few mm sticking out doubt id be able to grab it at all, surely that spagetti asem with the wiring for horn clips off from top im thinking just getting 2nd hand bit on here what u reckon ? or just buy aftermarket horn but pain to fit right?

Everything goes through the slip ring.

Should be ok for a sport i would of thought but worth checking with them first

i mean all the wires have complety snapped horn and airbags so now im thinking just wire up aftermarket horn dave all this hassle how ever going tio have to live with the indicators not canceling noe, not the end of the world what u reckon guys ? andx as no wiring the slip ring cant catch on steering wheel this is why they dont cancel btw thanks?!!

The slip ring has the airbag, horn and cruise (if you have it) wires attached to it.

Ph1 stalk will work but you need to remove something to do with the indicators from your ph2 stalk and put it into the ph1 stalk because its a different size.

Remove yours, get part number, ring clio spares, someone on ebay or dealer and go, 'Hulllo Sir do you have xxxxxxxxxx part in stock it goes behing the steering wheel and can i have it'

sorry thats does not make sense as i want a ph1 stalk with horn, i simply said do you just remove my one and put in the ph1 one and horn will work wheres the confusion rich-6?

When I changed my wheel on my 182 all the cables snapped as well, if your not worried about the cruise control etc and just need the horn the cables are plugged in behind the spaghetti thing.

Its hard to explain without pics but they are on push in cpnnectors to join to the spaghetti thing, so simply unplug them, connector to new cable, wire to a new lo ation ( I put a button in next to the cruise button) and your done.

o right hang on mate so yeah basically same all wires snapped airbag one and horn on black and red wires, all gone just wheel now, so all i need is a horn to work and i thought getting hold of ph1 stalk and swapping it will sort it out, or u tellling me ive got to mess around with stuff cheers ??

a phase 1 stalk will work, but my car is a track car so instead of buying a phase 1 stalk i just moved the horn button.
