Problem after fitting Yozza...

Fitted my new Yozza yesterday but at certain revs its making an aweful noise.

This was a quick video of it on idle yesterday...

Hoping its just the heat shield above the cat that's catching... :(

Any help/suggestions would be great!

Matt.

Sounds exactly like you've said.

Heatshields sound horrible when you scratch something along them. Nails on blackboard sound.

Yeah Matt it's the same thing i had when i fitted the yozza to mine, shame it didn't show itself all the time we were out testing it but i guess it needed time to settle in first, it's one of two things, either it's the two heat shields abover the cat that have made contact or it's the metal shield that comes out of the top of the lambda sensor that is catching the shield (it's way too close to the heat shield in my opinion), my guess it's the lambda sensor but either way it's only a two minute fix mate.

Fingers crossed it's a quick fix mate :) it only does it say 5% of the time, that video was after it was idleing for 15 mins...

what the bloody hell have you done to that!

Lol it's your exhaust Fred! ;)

(or our amateur fitting) lol

Trust me mate, it sounds ten times worse than it is, one quick bend of the heat shield and it will be sorted, we couldn't have predicted that would happen as we did go on a 5 mile test drive after to check it with no sign of it making any sound like that.

It's actually nothing to do with the Yozza itself, the noise is from above the cat and i'm guessing it will only happen when the exhaust is hot and has expanded a little, we will let it idle on the ramps so we can check it when it's fully hot and that way we know it won't happen again.
