problem car

Ive had my 1600 16V clio for 20 months now (done 41000 kms) from new.

thanks to renaults warranty, Ive had the cam belt replaced, the starter motor replaced, battery replaced, right rear wheel bearing, and now in the last 2 weeks had the coil (?) sorted out twice (car was misfiring), replacing 2 of the 4 tube like things which connect to the coil lead if Im not mistaken, and now all the o-rings associated.

does this sound like a bit much to you, whats the warrenty 3 years ?

please excuse my lack of knowledge of most things under the bonnet.

when did you buy the car Rock?

If it was before 13 (I think) June then the Warrenty is 1 year, if after this date the warrenty is 3 years.

Thats an aweful lot of things to go wrong with the car thats only done 40 odd thou km.

I probably would have gotten gatvol after 12 months (I know I did with my corsa and all that went wrong on that car was the manifold repeatedly breaking into two or falling off)

bought the car new in jan 2002 (from Auto xtra in Pretoria) and then took a short drive to CT !

so how long will they replace things for me ?

Youve got a 3 yr warrenty.

ps. should have mentioned that the date was June 2001
