Problem or coincidence?

Tuesday night, the g/f was driving home from bournemouth, and one of her headlight bulbs went. Not a great problem, it happens. She was gonna replace it today, as she has the afternoon off, and wasn't going to drive far in the dark, and still had full beam anyhow.
Last night on the way home from mine, the other one blew. Now, is this just a coincidence? Bulbs don't blow that often, let alone in pairs. She has a dynamique so what bulbs are they? H4? H7? H1?

Anyone ever had his happen before?

  BMW E46 330i Touring
Not sure how it happens, but it could be a case of the other having over-compensating, as they work in a parallel circuit. Too much current passing through it maybe...

I've had this happen before. 1 fog light went, then the other. Bloody annoying!

H7 they are get some uprated Halford ones they seem to last longer i wnt though stock ones ever 6 months Halfords lasted 2.5yrs.

Well will replace them and just hope they don't go again. It crossed my mind that one may now be getting more current than normal. Just a coincidence presumably.

Probably just conincidence
There a pain to fix the drivers side is the side to try and work out how to do it (unless you have aircon) the passengers sides a pain to change.
